Next up in November, Caleb received a character award at school.
One of these things is not like the other. First day of school Caleb loved reporting that there was a brown Josiah and a brown Caleb in his class.
Earlier in the year, his teacher mentioned "Caleb is just one of those kids that make you smile when you look at him. Not all are like that." I agree. Besides the tender heart and handsomeness, look how he ate his awards breakfast donut, no stickiness on those fingers!
Then Littlest Boy Sweetness had a birthday.

We celebrated at Noah's Ark.
A couple weeks later Jason took down the crib, after more than 11yrs of steady use.
To make room for Si's big boy bed.
Both fellas are experts at wooing, but what Caleb started as a sing-songy-bedtime-stall Josiah has turned into an all day mantra: "Don't forget your hug and your kiss Mama!"
They are generous with their affection.

Caleb and Bapa
Caleb got his own footie pj's for Christmas, so he'd stop squeezing into and busting out of Si's. I still catch him trying to wear these though.
Siblings playing peacefully together, beautiful thing.
This just makes me laugh, taken Christmas morning.
Another serious moment later that day, Caleb proud of his puzzle-skills.
And one last round of close-up handsomeness.

Love, love this post!! :) Such sweet handsomeness.
ReplyDeletePrecious little boys whom you are raising into compassionate, godly young men. I've loved previous entries as well...just not commenting as much lately. Thanks for continuing to share your journey!

Not only are you a great writer, but you also have a definite knack for photography! Wonderful shots and wonderful subjects!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! My favorites are the Christmas morning picture - hilarious! And Caleb in the footie pajamas. Gabriel wanted some because of Isaac's too. I thought for sure I had the only 5 year old in such pj's. Guess not! Love and hugs,

Such gorgeous pics Allison! Those boys are looking so grown up all of a sudden! When did that happen?
